Our Community Kindergartens
Today, 820 orphaned and vulnerable children woke up in their stick and mud homes, put on their warm school uniform, and headed off to their local church-based kindergarten. Here they will be greeted by a loving teachers, learn their A,B,C’s, and so much more. Maybe more importantly, they will begin to form their first opinions of education and learn to dream. They will be filled with wonder; a wonder for this incredible world we live in, the amazing value of who they are, and the God who created them, just they way they are. They will also receive a cooked meal (Monday through Friday), without which many of these children would only receive a meal once every three days.
Our students return home with a full stomach, mind, and heart.
Education Opens Many Doors
Earning the right to understand family situations through education is a critical component of our community care. Providing needy children with education offers a key touch point for daily check-ins with the children and long-term assessment of the home situations. This affords our care teams the opportunity to better assist families and identify child-led homes to ensure children are protected.
